Son of the South

I was invited by women in film to the home of Maya Angelou to converge and learn about the back-story surrounding a story that is being advocated by Maya and Shirley Sherrod. As one a primary raiser of capital for filmmaker Lee Daniels projects I was anxious to hear the dynamics of this script with the hopes that I might be able to identify potential investors.

While the presentation was being delivered I was enamored with the stunning Faith Ringgold quilt that hung on the wall of the lofty brownstone a gift to Maya from her surrogate daughter Oprah Winfrey. To look at the quilt then look into the faces of Maya and Shirley both who are forces of nature I left on a clear mission to leave no stone unturned in my quest to help bring this story to life.
