This events unites singular passions with likeminded women from all over the world. This symposium was designed to educate, engage and inspire women to forge paths greater than. My dear friend of over 20 plus years returned to Broadway in the play Fences. Not only was the show sold out every night a star studded host of luminaries made their way to see his performance night after night. I was beyond proud as the play reenergized and gave a renewed interest to Broadway. (more…)

I was invited by women in film to the home of Maya Angelou to converge and learn about the back-story surrounding a story that is being advocated by Maya and Shirley Sherrod. As one a primary raiser of capital for filmmaker Lee Daniels projects I was anxious to hear the dynamics of this script with the hopes that I might be able to identify potential investors. (more…)

Curtis Martin’s Wedding

One of the most venerated men I know tied the knot to a women he truly adores. There are moments in time when you feel blessed to witness the joining of souls of those who were brought together in the true spirit and core values of the marriage covenant. Curtis and I have been friends for many years. He has always been character in action. He defines and embodies all the attributes of the most perfect partner and by displaying that allowed me to see that it was possible to obtain. He taught me that discipline is essential and the basis of all relationships. (more…)

This is one of my favorite magazine brand extensions in a sea of meaningless award shows and events that are done solely to satisfy advertisers. This marked the 20th year and it has become an iconic evening honoring the most amazing women in the world. In year’s past I have included many of our clients including Angela Bassett and Eve. Thanksgiving Day

This year I started my day at the Bowery mission which I have done many times over the years. My Mother came along this year as she has always wanted to be of service in this way to those less fortunate. Her genuine compassion and concern for others is an attribute I cherish most in her as she has instilled those and many other life defining values in me since birth. One thing she taught me at an early age is that in life you will be served to the degree you can be of service and you will be blessed to the degree that you can be a blessing in the lives of others. Christmas and New Years 2011

The Christmas holiday is my favorite time of year. Not for the traditional reasons but for the symbolic reasons that are truly the reason for the season…the glorious birth of our savior. The New Year for me represents the birth of new beginnings and what better way to start the year than surrounded by those you love. I spent time in the islands on the pristine beaches soaking in what sun could be found and preparing my heart and spirit for a bountiful 2011. (more…)
