Salt n Pepa Rock the Mic for Oprah
Of all the years that I represented Salt n Pepa, landing an Oprah performance was always a top priority that didn’t happened until the final season when she finally decided to pay homage to Rock icons including Stevie Nicks, Joan Jett, and Sister Sledge. Patience is indeed a virtue along with the years of planting and watering seeds planted along the way. The stage was now set for the girls to make their first and only historic appearance on the final season of the show and Oprah loved them, I mean she really loved them. (more…)

NBA All-Star Weekend 2011

Attending this years All Star Weekend was great as Dorell wright worked really hard to not only become the leading contender for this years NBA most improved player but he also landed a coveted spot in the 3 point shootout. (more…)
Governor Paterson on Saturday Night Live

This was a big moment in history for me as many in the Governor’s camp did not think he should appear on Saturday Night Live. I knew as the first black Governor of the State of New York that it would be crucial to the repositioning of his brand as we began to plan and transition him for life after office. There were so many misconceptions swirling about David Paterson that I felt his appearance should be a small reflection and symbolic of the man he really was. I called the SNL creative team of Lorne Michaels and Executive Producer Marci Klein (daughter of Calvin) and shared my concept for the appearance. They agreed with my vision and the booking was made.
